I am a classical musician based in Bristol, England, with thirty years’ experience as a composer, conductor, pianist and teacher.

My musical activities include:

  • Composing and arranging music for all kinds of performing forces

  • Conducting choirs and leading choral workshops

  • Performing as a piano soloist, accompanist, and chamber musician

  • Teaching piano, music theory, and composition

I received my musical education at the King's School Worcester, St John’s College Cambridge, and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. My composition teachers were Robin Holloway, Hugh Wood, Alfred Nieman and George Nicholson. My piano teachers were Phyllis Palmer and Terence Beckles.

  • Monmouth Choral Society's Christmas concert is at Trellech on Sunday 15th December.

  • Piano recital on Saturday 1st February at Bristol Music Club, including music by Beethoven, Debussy, Prokofiev. Contact me to book tickets, which are £15 (and £5 for students and under-18s).
