I am a classical musician based in Bristol, England, with thirty years’ experience as a composer, conductor, pianist and teacher.
My musical activities include:
Composing and arranging music for all kinds of performing forces
Conducting choirs and leading choral workshops
Performing as a piano soloist, accompanist, and chamber musician
Teaching piano, music theory, and composition
I received my musical education at the King's School Worcester, St John’s College Cambridge, and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. My composition teachers were Robin Holloway, Hugh Wood, Alfred Nieman and George Nicholson. My piano teachers were Phyllis Palmer and Terence Beckles.

Current and future projects:
Summer gives me a chance to rest, refresh, enjoy some cultural nourishment (Three Choirs Festival in Hereford, and Proms on the radio) and explore my own composing projects.
In the Autumn, Monmouth Choral Society will be rehearsing and performing Elgar's Dream of Gerontius, while Thornbury Choral Society will be getting their teeth into Handel's Messiah.
